COME RAIN OR COME SHINE
A Main Line Singers Concert about Weather
Do you prefer the melancholy of a rainy night, the frozen fractals of an ice storm or the brilliance of a bright, sunshiny day?
We’ll sing the praises of all your favorites at our weather-themed concert set for June 9, 2024 at 1:30pm at St. Katharine of Siena, located at 104 S. Aberdeen Ave. in Wayne.
Grab your umbrella for “Singin’ in the Rain,” “I Dreamed of Rain” and “Don’t Rain on My Parade.” Try not to be blown away by “Dust in the Wind” and “Blowin’ in the Wind.” Skate with us through the sparkling harmonies of “Let it Go” and bask in the warmth of “Here Comes the Sun,” “I Can See Clearly Now” and “You Are the Sunshine of My Life.”
Tickets, which include a post-concert reception with refreshments, are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. All payment methods are accepted. Children 12 and under will be admitted for free.

This summer, we are proud to partner with our friends at the Joy of Sox! Since 2010, Joy of Sox has collected and distributed hundreds of thousands of new socks to people experiencing homelessness in the Philadelphia area and across the United States.
While the Main Line Singers will be singing about many of the joys of weather, we can’t forget that weather like rain and snow are not just a nuisance to the unhoused. Navigating the elements without clean, warm socks can result in sores, infections, frostbite and a variety of health problems, particularly for those navigating diabetes or other diseases.
At our concert we will be accepting donations of NEW socks (the Joy of Sox cannot accept used ones). Most helpful are:
- Socks with wicking
- Polyester blend or wool with padding (no cotton, please!)
- Men’s socks in dark colors
- Women’s socks in dark colors or a variety of colors
(While it’s lovely to donate childrens’ socks, the Joy of Sox does sock drives with schools, so they have plenty of those right now and particularly need adult socks!).
